A tripoint, also known as a trijunction, triple point, or tri-border area, refers to a geographical location where the borders of three different countries converge. Globally, there are 175 international tripoints, with 48 of them located within the continent of Europe. Among European countries, Austria boasts the highest number of tripoints, with a total of nine such convergence points on its borders. Russia, with over 22,000 kilometers of the land border has eleven: on the map, the five European tripoints in Europe, and another six in Asia.
